Sea Song  is a 24" x 36" original art mixed media painting. It utilizes acrylic, wax, 100 year old Chopin sheet music, gold leaf, and collage. I wanted this peice to be a kind of visual lullaby.
 
I included a peice of  a map of the ocean in which the Pacific is grided off into squares, and that idea, (of the attempt to understand and confine the mysterious) informed this painting. You can see the hint of the history of a square grid collage when you tilt the painting.
