Stillness in Motion  is a 24" x 36" original art mixed media painting with a lot of history and texture. It contains acrylic, wax, and collage. In my oceanscape paintings I incorporated layers of heavy texture to emphasize the energy invigorating the surface. I focused heavily on shapes, attempting to give weight to the water and air as well as the rocks, keeping everything in a delicate balance. I am interested not in self expression, but in sharing the quiet energy of these amazing places.
